Japanese-born and Los Angeles-based illustrator Lisa Kogawa has a studio filled with books – comic books, to be specific. This artist’s charming work covers everything from girls exploring imaginary food worlds to the day-to-day experiences of working in the food industry (Lisa spends much of her time working in a sushi restaurant where, as she says herself, she “spends that money on sushi and books”).
