NEW INC, the New Museum’s creative incubator for art, design, and technology, kicked off its end-of-the-year showcase this weekend. (We know, it’s only July – but if we had this much cool stuff to share, we’d start our end-of-the-year party in July, too.) Drop by the showcase to test out some sweet new VR experiences, wearable technologies, and more.

LA: GuilLermo del Toro’s At Home With Monsters

Did Pan’s Labyrinth give you nightmares? (No? Just us?) The director presents the creative process behind the terrifying monsters of his Oscar-gilded movies at the LACMA starting tomorrow.

WHEN: Starting August 1st.

SF: Artists in Conversation: Quiet Please

Illustrator George Pfau presents a reading and Q&A of his new illustrated self-help book, Quiet Please: The Mental Game of Art and Tennis, which explores the parallels between the myriad of rules and regulations that control the way we behave in both tennis and in day-to-day life.
