We’re dedicated fans of CHIAOZZA’s audacious work (read their Framework Mag profile here) – and luckily for you, their studio door is open to the public this weekend. We highly recommend checking their work out – they’ll be exhibiting with some of their artist friends, too.

When: Through October 2nd.

Where: 56 Bogart St 3rd Floor, Bushwick, NY.

2. 005 Brooklyn Cartoonists and Illustrators

You’ve probably had a wandering thought or two about this before – the image of you holding two bags of groceries and squeezing yourself into a New York City subway car with fifty other sweaty passengers would be an image that’s too comical not to document somehow, if you weren’t too occupied with muttering swear words under your breath on the entire ride home. There’s a small group of artists in Brooklyn that have already tackled just that – from Jeremy Nguyen’s Stranger than Bushwick  to Tony Wolf’s Greenpoint of ViewThis show explores these artists’ reflections on the complexities of living and working in New York City.

When: Through October 2nd.

Where: Kave Espresso Bar | 1087 Flushing Ave #121, Bushwick, NY.

3. Living on a Canvas

For an entire week, artist John Murray will be living on a canvas. That’s right – a makeshift bathroom, kitchen, and hammock are all part of this artist’s performance art piece, which has its finale on 10/2. Drop by, say hello, and maybe bring him a few snacks.

When: Through October 2nd.

Where: 513 Johnson Ave, Bushwick, NY.
